Wor-Wic Community College is accepting applications for a part-time instructor to teach in the Continuing Education and Workforce Development division's Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program. Courses include Part I and Part II in the classroom, skills lab and clinical rotations. The instructor is expected to follow the Maryland Board of Nursing approved Wor-Wic Community College curriculum, supporting materials, text and workbook. 

Requirements include:

  • A current RN license with the ability to practice in Maryland
  • A minimum of two years of nursing experience, at least one of which was in caring for the elderly or chronically ill in the past 5 years;
  • Current AHA Basic Life support certification;
  • Must meet the vaccination, booster and any other requirements of all of our clinical facilities, which may include, but is not limited to: COVID-19, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Meningococcal, MMR, Tdap and Varicella

Successful candidates must have two years of teaching experience OR be able to complete a minimum of 16 hours of instruction in the principles of adult education within 90 days of hire, AND must be approved by the Maryland Board of Nursing to remain employed by the college.
