SUMMARY: The Clinic is a free health care clinic serving the Greater Phoenixville Region. Our mission is to provide quality healthcare to the uninsured in an atmosphere that fosters dignity and respect for our patients. The Clinic serves more than 1,500 patients per year, employs a team of fulltime and part-time professionals, and utilizes volunteers in healthcare and public health to ensure we are meeting the needs of the community. We are looking for someone to join our team as Director of Volunteer Services to manage the assessment, recruitment, training, and assignment of volunteers. He/she matches interested volunteers with an opportunity that suits their skills and serves the organization. The Director of Volunteer Services tries to ensure that individual volunteers feel comfortable with their placements and fully understand their responsibilities. The Director of Volunteer Services reports to the Executive Director and serves as an integral external ambassador and representative for The Clinic.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Responsible for recruiting, screening, training, and onboarding the organization’s volunteers. • Managing and supervising the process of assigning volunteers based on the needs/requests of staff. • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the overall volunteer program. • Liaise with staff in The Clinic to understand how they work, develop partnerships, and assess their volunteer needs. • Generate appropriate volunteer opportunities and role descriptions based on the needs of the organization. • Complete Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check for every volunteer and the State Child Abuse Clearance for clinical volunteers. • Credentialing and Privileging of volunteer health care professionals. Keep updated and continued verification of all licensures of all healthcare volunteers. • Manage all HRSA/FTCA registrations and correspondence, including entering new providers, staff, and volunteers into HRSA, as well as tracking and maintaining records of all certifications, licenses, etc. under the supervision of the Executive Director. • Conduct initial orientation including sensitivity to Patient Relations issues. • Ensure there is appropriate support and training for volunteers. • Community Relations and awareness of volunteer needs within The Clinic. • Promote volunteering (internally and externally) through recruitment and publicity strategies and campaigns. Recruits’ volunteers for special events. • Raise staff awareness of the role and function of volunteers. • Offer advice and information to volunteers and external organizations through face-to-face, telephone, and email contact. • Organize profile-raising events to attract new volunteers. Engage in community outreach with other nonprofits and local organizations. • Working with multiple agencies across different sectors to establish good working relationships to influence decisions about volunteering. • Attend community events to promote volunteerism at The Clinic. • Organize family-in-need allocations throughout the year from other Community partners. • Partner and document identified patients for the CCFB Fresh Rx program including pre/post surveys tracking of patient progress.

QUALIFICATIONS: • Outgoing personality; must be comfortable talking in front of groups of people. • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements preferred. • Utilizes effective time management skills. • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. • Ability to manage, train and schedule volunteer staff. Previous supervisory experience is preferred. • Ability to quickly adapt to changes in the industry, clinic requirements, and volunteer staff's needs. • Ability to work independently, resolve issues, set goals, and forecast
