The schedule is 8 hours per day for 182 days, following the school calendar. A competitive salary and benefits package is available including group health and life insurance, LTD, pension plan and paid sick and personal leave.
To provide coordination, leadership and direction necessary to assure appropriate health care services within the school district's educational facilities.
Major Areas of Accountability:
*Pupil health appraisal
*Care of illness and injury
*Records and reports
*Keeps current on all Minnesota Statues relating to health issues and immunizations.
*Attends approved workshops related to position.
*Provides necessary training and/or workshops to staff as needed.
*Follows all aspects of data privacy and confidentiality related to students and student health problems and needs.
*Performs other duties and school related work as requested by the Superintendent of Schools.
*Licensure as a registered nurse by the Minnesota Board of Nursing and/or as a school nurse by the Minnesota Department of Education.
Special Knowledge or Skills:
*Ability to constantly make decisions and act within the district and building policies, procedures and guidelines.
*Ability to deal with paperwork and implement district, state and federal mandates.
*Maintains a positive, cooperative and respectful attitude with students, parents, employees and community members.

*Maintains accurate and up to date student health records.
*Provides appropriate equipment, leadership and direction for the health and well being of students and staff within the school facility.
*Engages in both prevention and intervention related to student health services.
*Completes reports to appropriate agencies in a timely manner.
