Surgery Tech Hospital (FT/Days) $5,000 Welcome Incentive
Description
The Surgical Technician handles the instruments, supplies, and equipment utilized during the surgical procedure. The technologist must understand the procedure being performed and anticipate the needs of the surgeon. The Surgical Technician conveys instruments and supplies to the surgeon, assists the surgeon as necessary, and is responsible for maintenance of the sterile field. This is a safety sensitive position.
Qualifications
Graduation from a surgical technology training program or related training and/or experience; High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); Must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
Highly Preferred: Previous Operating Room experience. Orthopedic experience preferred, but not mandatory.
Sonographer (Hospital)
Description
Under the direction of the Radiology Manager – Radiology, the Sonographer shall be responsible for performing all types of general ultrasound procedures, echocardiograms, and non-invasive procedures utilizing independent judgement and initiative as prescribed by Physicians under the direction of a Radiologist and/or Physician reading the study. Demonstrates wise use of time, energy, and resources to function within the confines of the approved budget for the Radiology Department. Performs all work according to the mission, vision, and values of McBride Hospital.
Qualifications
Current ARDMS or registry eligible and pass registry within 18 months of date of hire; must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
Documented competency in echo and non-invasive vascular imaging. One year of experience preferred.
RN - Surgery Circulator (FT/Days)
Description
The Registered Nurse Operating Room delivers direct patient care in the intra-operative period of the patient’s surgical experience through the framework of the nursing process. Provides a safe, efficient, and caring environment for individual surgical patients. Presents with a broad surgical knowledge base, instant recall of nursing science, diversity of thought and action, stamina, and the flexibility needed for peri-operative nursing. Understands surgical anatomy, physiologic alterations and their consequences for the patient, intra-operative risk factors, potentials for patient injury and the means of preventing them, and psychosocial implications of surgery for the patient and significant others. The Registered Nurse Operating Room anticipates the needs of the patient and surgical team and rapidly initiates appropriate nursing interventions. He/she evaluates the safety, cost, and outcomes of patient service. The Registered Nurse, Operating Room circulates proficiently and independently. This person teaches and acts as a preceptor to new employees, students, or visitors. This is a safety sensitive position.
Qualifications
Current unencumbered license by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing to practice as a Registered Nurse. Must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers. Possess or be willing to obtain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification (within 6 months of hire). New hires that have expired BLS will be scheduled for the first available class during orientation.
Previous Operating Room experience preferred, Computer Skills, and knowledge of CPSI.
Radiology Tech (Full-Time/Outpatient Orthopedic Clinic)
Description
Under the direction of the Radiology Manager and Director – Radiology, the Radiology Technologist shall be responsible for performing imaging procedures as prescribed by Physicians under the direction of a Radiologist. Demonstrates wise use of time, energy, and resources to function within the confines of the approved budget for the Radiology Department.
Qualifications
Two-year AMA approved program in Radiology Technology, AS or BS degree; ARRT certification. Must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
Six months' experience preferred.
Medical Assistant M-F (FT/Days)
Description
Performs various patient care tasks and uses non-professional skills to assist the physician in providing care of the patient in an outpatient setting. Under the supervision of a licensed nurse and/or the physician, the Medical Assistant performs delegated tasks and procedures of patient care, involving the physical, psychological, social, emotional, safety, and security needs of the patient. Facilitates the appropriate registration, appropriate documentation for billing/collection purposes and clerical duties that are location specific. This is a safety sensitive position.
Qualifications
Must have High School diploma or GED. Must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
Highly Preferred: Completion of an MA educational program and/or clinic experience.
