Director of Nursing

We are looking for a proven, strong leader to fill a Director of Nursing position.

Do you have the desire to work in an environment where employees are valued and supported?  The Director of Nursing is responsible for creating an environment that exemplifies the value of resident care and implements a resident and nursing delivery system that puts the residents first. This position has the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability for the functions and activities of the Nursing Department. Recognized as a professional role model who is responsible for providing overall leadership and management for the health and well-being of our residents in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations and may be directed by the Administrator to assure that the highest degree of resident care is always maintained.

EDUCATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS

·Nursing degree required.  Must be from a nationally accredited program.

·Current licensure from the South Dakota Board of Nursing

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

·Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience; preferably in a long-term care setting

·Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience
